Our Joy:

Live a Life of Generosity

God's word makes it clear that it's our job to share the love of Christ with people we see every day, whether we're in our local community, or halfway across the world. And this mission not only impacts those we serve, but it is a pathway to spiritual transformation in our own lives.

There are so many ways to serve locally through Hampton UMC, as well as getting involved in global efforts to spread the Gospel of Christ. Whether you feel called to another continent, we want to empower you to do the work God has called you to. Get involved today!

Serving at Hampton UMC

It is possible to be a member of a church, but never be part of the team that makes the church function properly, Spiritual growth happens when you move from being a receiver to being a reproducer. A church of 100 people could not function if there were 100 pastors, but neither can it function well if only 1 person does everything in the ministry.  Here are some ways you can serve:

Prayer Support Team                                                                  Church Security

Mentoring                                                                                              Discipleship

Greet People                                                                                         Visit People

Send cards and letters                                                                  Cook

Transportation                                                                                   Set up and take down for events

Audio / Video                                                                                     Ushers

Choir                                                                                                            Nursery

Operation Christmas Child shoe box project

From children to seniors, people pack shoe box gifts each year to bless children in need around the world. Parent often use the project to teach their kids about giving. Year round volunteers support these efforts around the country.

As a result of what they learn in The Great Journey boys and girls grow in Christ and share with friends and family. The students also invite others to their graduations where the Gospel is shared. This often brings parents, siblings, and friends to accept Christ and become active members in the local church. Families are reached, churches grow, new churches are started, and communities are transformed.

Henry County Relay For Life

Team Sisterchicks

American Cancer Society

Watch for upcoming dates and information on how to join our team.

Relay is a team fundraiser event where team members take turns walking around a track or designated path. Each event is 6-24 hours in length and each team is asked to have a member on the track at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps. Cancer patients don't stop because they're tired, and for one night, neither do we.

Each team sets up a themed campsite at the event and continues their fundraising efforts by collecting donations for food, goods, games, and activities. The money will count towards their overall team fundraising goal.
